Makenzi Leigh, Birth story.

WOW! 3 weeks has FLOWN by! Let me recap on the last 5weeks:

When I was 37 1/2 weeks pregnant I went in for my regualr OB appt. My P was pretty darn high but I told my DR that I would really not like to get MORE blood taken so he told me that is my choice and i dont need to go get it done. That next monday I went for my NST and my BP was VERY high so i ended up having to get the Pre E testing done anyway. Come to find out that I had eelvated levals of protine in my urin so i had Pre E. My DR decided that it was time. So my mom was alredy on her way up cause she had a feeling that she needed to be here with me. GOOD THING cause that next morning at 5:30 i was going in to the hospital! She was breech so I opted to have a c-section instead of trying to turn her cause I saw ALL the bad things that could happen, happeneing! So I got to the hospital took one last belly shot and got my IV did my paperwork and by 8am I was walking back to the OR. I wasnt really nervous actually my only thought was "Can we wait for a little bit longer so I can take a nap" lol I didnt sleep the night before and it was to be expected. So i get to the OR, get on the table and they start the spinal. I had the IV in my hand and the nurse was pushing my hands down for me to hold my self up and i couldnt plus I was shaking cause the meds and i was cold. SO it took about 4-5min to get the spinal and INSTANTLY i couldnt feel my feet. It was such an odd feeling. So i laied back and they got me all ready and started. My mom came back and at 8:19am Miss Makenzi Leigh Lemon made her entrance into the world. She weighed 7lbs 11 oz 19.5in long I heard her cry and I could not wrap my ind around the fact that, that was my daughters cry! I was bawling so just a few short minuets later I got to meet her. I feel in love with her. She was just so calm and content and staring at me. They took her back to our room to weight her and give her shots, while they stabled me up. They wheeled me down to recovery and I was there for EXACTLY 36min. Yes i was counting the minuets I was there. I got to my rooom and they got me back in my bed and i FINALLY got to hold my daughter. The little amazing girl Canon and I had created. I breastfeed her as soon as i stoped staring. She did great. She latched on perfect and had no problems. That night was great she woke up every 4hours to eat. The next morning i got up to walk. It was kinda hard cause my butt was still numb from laying there for over 24hours. She continued to eat every 4 hours and i was up and walking. We left at noon the next day. The first night home was great she woke up once. The day after we got home we got a TON of snow! it was crazy!!! We were susposed to go to the hospital to get her some blood work but we were snowed in! So we went on monday. The DR never called so that meant that she was perfect! The next week just went on and she was sleeping great through the night a few times she didnt wake up at all but the other times she only woke up once.

and now today! as of Monday March 10, 2009 Makenzi weighed 8lbs 2 oz 20in long! I was so proud of her!!! She is still sleeping great and eating every 4 hours. She has grown SO much. Its sad but I love how awake she is becoming. She stays awake for a good part of the day. She will be 3 weeks tomorrow and she has a DR appt net week. Daddy will be home for R&R in April to meet her and he is SO excited. So now we just wait!

So i had my baby shower this past weekend and got basically everything that i needed for her and her room! I was so excited to get home and get everything done!!! Here are the pictures!

32 weeks and OB appt

Well I am 32 weeks and 1 day according to March 3rd due date if you go by March 8th I am 31 weeks and 3days. My uterus and Makenzi are measuring 32weeks but the DRs have not changed it but in my head I have. Today I had a DR appt. I have gained 2lbs this month, so that puts me at a total of 12LBS. I am happy about that! Makenzi's hear rate was in the 120s. My blood pressure was once again HIGH, 139/83 so I will have to be induced. We do not have a date yet, We will schedule it at my next OB appt. But until then I have to go in 2 times a week to be monitored. They will monitor her heart beat and monitor me to see if I am having Contractions. Also once a week I will have an ultrasound to check my amniotic fluid levels and check her growth. Feb 3rd I have a ultrasound down in radiology to check her size, weight and position. I am looking at Feb 17th or 20th to be induced. I am scared and happy. Scared of all the things that could go wrong and happy that my mom and my sister will defiantly be here for the birth. and that Canon will be able to HOPEFULLY be on the phone with me while his little girl comes into the world and hear her first cry. 5-6 more weeks till she is here I can NOT believe it! I am so excited and ready for her to get here!

29weeks

10 weeks and 6days to go! Boy o boy has this pregnancy just flew by! I am sitting here in shock. I just amazes me how much she moves and kicks. She has the hiccups ALL the time. I love it. She has started to get them for longer now. Last Wednesday (12/10/08) her heart beat was 135-137 i was kinda worried cause that is really low for her but the DR said it was normal. So I will take his word for it. My BP was high again, NO SHOCK TO ME! I am really worried about it but the DRs not..which makes me mad because in the beginning they made SUCH a huge deal about it. So at my next appt on Jan 7, 2009 if it is high again they will do a ultrasound to make sure that she is growing the way she is susposed to and what not. So i am hoping that it is high just so they will check her but I dont want anything to be wrong. We go THIS WEDNESDAY (12/17/08) to get a 3D/4D ultrasound and i can barly stand the wait!!! I am very excited to see what she is going to look like.

Other news: the not hapy kind,
Canon leaves the first few days of Jan for 10months. It has hit me very hard the last week. I am trying not to get all sad and stressed for the babys sake but im still worried. Still upset that he wont be here for the birth but we were told that he will get R&R so he will get to see her as a baby still. Sarah will be up here Feb 15th so I have that and my baby shower on Jan 24th to look forward to. Ive got to find something to occupy my time untill Sarah gets up here to entertain me! so here is my 28/29 weeks shot

26 almost 27 weeks...

This has been a VERY eventful week! For the pat 3months I have been having HORRIBLE headaches. It does not matter what i do or what i take they just do not stop or go away. I was worried about Pre-Eclamsia. I had high blood pressure in my first trimester and once in my 2nd. Also my hands went from not really swollen to WAY swollen in a matter of a week so i was very worried. I called my DR and the next day went in for Blood Work and a urin sample. I also went and seen my nurse who checked my blood pressure. It turned out to be 109/71, really great. So they wernt really worried but didnt want to say for sure until they got the test results back. Later that week after having bad headaches daily, i got a HORRIBLE one. I just couldnt take it any more. Canon and I went into Labor and Delivery. I was hooked up to make sure I was not having contractions, checked Makenzis heartbeat and my Blood pressure. I also took a urin sample. My blood pressure was low while i was there 106/65-108/70. They had also checked my blood test from earlier in the week. So about an hour later the nurse came back in and told me that all my test were great and that my urin test came back that i was dehydrated. I was hooked up to an IV and got 1 liter of fluids and more tyenol. Well 4 days later STILL having HORRIBLE headaches. It is really annoying that no one is listening to me and only checking my freakin PEE!!!! So this Friday at 1:30 I have an Ultrasound and my GD test and I am also going to talk to me DR that day. I am not going to sit here for another 12 weeks with horrible headaches.
Makenzi is great. she has had the hiccups alot in the past almost 2weeks. She moves like crazy and has such a weird schedual.

25 weeks, November 21, 2008

15 more weeks to go! Seams like nothing!!! Where to start, Makenzi is so active she is moving constantly. Daddy has got to feel her kick 3times now and mommy all the time! She is so high and in my ribs! She has already turned and my DR thinks she wont turn again so I am glad. When I went for my 20week anatomy scan my placenta was low well at my DR appt last week it had moved up! I am so glad because I just did not want a C-section. My blood pressure was low at my last appt. Her room is SLOWLY coming along. We got the bedding and of course the furniture, and the changing pad. Shes been getting TONS of clothes so her closet is getting FULL. Many of you know that Canon will be deploying in the next 2months and he will not be here for her birth and he will not be home till she is 4-6months old. We were told we are looking more toward her being 6months old. I have came to terms with it. I will have my mom, sister and bestfriend to help me through this time. I am still by all means very upset and cry about it daily but I am trying not to dweel on the bad. I can not control this so why be so up set and fight something that I can not change. Canon is so very exctied to deploy, he has been waiting for this day for almost 2years now! I am happy for him. He will be re-enlisting while he is in Iraq, not sure for how long. Dec 5th I have an ultrasound with the radiollogy department for them me documnt the my placenta went up. Also that day I have to take my 28weeks Glucose test and Dec 10th is my next DR appt. Canon and I will be going home for Christmas on Dec15th or the 18th we still have not got the official date yet...still kinda in limbo. We are goign to have a 3D/4D around thoes days and i can not wait to see what our little girl is going to look like! Since I have not showed a picture for a while I am gonna start them form 20 weeks!

Its A GIRL!!!! October 16, 2008

We are having a little princess! Her name is Makenzi Leigh Lemon. She was very stubborn in the ultrasound and was moving like crazy and all balled up! But she is most definitely a girl! She is measuring 5 days ahead. So my due date could be changed to March 3rd..I hope so. She is weighing 14 OZ and all her measurements were great. Her heart beat was 147. Here is our little princess.

I have decided that I am going to update every 2weeks. Not to much changes in 1 weeks time.

Well as of today I am 17weeks and 3 days. Ive really felt some kicks which are great! I feel them mostly at night. I dont get to many in one day but they are there. Daddy is getting pretty jealous and he really wants to feel them to! Ive had some MAJOR growing paines. At my last appt this past friday (9/26) my BP has FAINLLY GONE DOWN!!!! YAY My uterus was 1 inch below my bellybutton, hints the growing pain! The babys heart rate was 156 and he/she was really movin cause I felt it. We find out on Oct 16th at 11am what we are haivng we are getting SO impatient!

15 weeks, September 14, 2008

25 more weeks to go! It seams like just yesterday i found out that i was pregnant. I cant help but look at my baby (ultrasounds) and cry and think how much of a miracle children are! Last Tuesday we got to hear the baby's heart beat, 140! and we also got to see him or her! I am just amazed by it!!! Ive had what i think is Braxton Hicks and the nice kicking of the bladder ALL the time! Other then that I am great! Baby is also great! I go back on Sept 26th to HOPEFULLY find out the sex!

Well another week gone by and it was a little scary! I had to take a trip to the ER cause ive been having some cramping but it turned out to be round ligament pain and the baby kicking me really hard in my hips. We got an ultrasound and got to hear the babys heart beat which was at 152!

How ive been feeling? GREAT! Couldnt be better. Ive felt a few little kicks and the baby rolling around in there. Which that is the weirdest. It feels so funky! Ive got HUGE and my boobs WOW yea I can feel that too! Ive got a DR appt today and we are doing the down syndrome test and she has to check my amniotic fluid so we might be able to find out the sex!!!
